As a primary care clinician and researcher, I am passionate about efforts to make our health care system more effective, equitable and humane. In my work, I have witnessed the essential role of authentic relationships in engaging people in their health, creating healthy work environments and promoting system change. In RELATE Lab, we are engaged in a range of efforts to improve relationality, build leadership capacity, and promote health equity within, through and beyond the walls of health care. I love how our team embraces these principles in our work and in the ways we work together. I also appreciate our use of innovative research methods including complexity science informed and realist approaches to evaluation.
