I initially joined the RELATE Lab to help manage the day-to-day evaluation tasks for the RLI course. What I didn't know at the time was how perfectly my work with the team would align with my graduate school journey to become a multimedia journalist and storyteller. I completed my program just as the COVID pandemic began and spent the following two years working with our team on a collection of multimedia stories about the pandemic experience called Together Well. This work laid the foundation for our multimedia storytelling work at he RELATE Lab. I’m grateful to be able to use my skills as a video producer to amplify stories of health equity, relational leadership, community and healing. I never thought I’d be able to purse this type of work in a healthcare setting but RELATE Lab has given me the support and the vision to make it happen.
