Co-Director of Research
RELATE Lab, for me, is that rare professional home and community where I can engage every part of myself to explore and address the societal challenges that I care about. I get to see fresh perspectives, work through and get feedback on my own ideas, and co-create knowledge to help individuals and communities achieve their goals not just in healthcare but in broader society. I believe relationships are at the heart of how we craft our lives and make change in the world. Throughout my professional life, I've pursued both research and community organizing as avenues for building skills in relationships, for coming through individual and collective traumas and injustices, and for reshaping health systems to strengthen community priorities. RELATE Lab is the space where all these paths come together explicitly in consideration of building a health care system and workforce capable of working in bold and sustainable ways to advance our collective well-being.
